April 2010 - Two Bedroom Oceanview
Just got back from the Turks. I booked with My Turks and Caicos and they were great to book with. We went snorkeling every single day because the reef is right outside the hotel, world class reefs to say the least. You can walk another 5 minutes down the beach to Turtle Cove to another bigger set of reefs. The staff were great and friendly. Coral Gardens is a little further away from the other hotels on Grace Bay which can be a plus, but if you want to go out at night you would need to get a taxi, which was not a problem at all.
Restaurant "Somewhere" has the best sunset view on the Island we were told, and it was absolutely the best I have seen. Our kids came with us so we stayed in the two bedroom, it had everything you needed and more so we were very happy.
March 2010 - One Bedroom Oceanfront Charlotte, NC
Our condo was very nice. It was a one bedroom oceanfront suite that had fantastic views. The room was huge and also had a pull out couch in the living room. The reef outside is sectioned off because it is a National Park, but you can go around the buoys and see some amazing coral and all kinds of sea life you will spend hours in the aqua water especially in this area.
We took a taxi to the Casino which we really enjoyed, did not win anything just broke even but it was fun.
Watch the sunset when you can it is very romantic. The Beaches are the best I have seen and we have traveled to many places around the world, sandy white, you can tell the people of the Island take care of what they have. We will be back!!!!
November 2009 - 1 Bedroom Oceanfront Boston, MA
My wife and I were blown away with the deal we got at Coral Gardens. We expected a decent hotel for the price we paid but Coral Gardens was extraordinary. The main reason we booked at the Gardens was because of how close it is to the reef. We try to travel to a new dive spot every year or two. Of the places we've explored Providenciales' diving exceeded expectations. In one dive we saw a few turtles, a sting ring and tons of species of exotic fish. The dive shop is right on the beach to rent out equipment and they had pretty reasonable prices. Plus the property was quiet. There was always lounge chairs and umbrellas available and the beach wasn't packed at all. I'm sure if you cruise down the beach it gets busier but we just enjoyed the pool and beach to ourselves for a few days without being bothered by too many tourists. Make sure you become friends with Jerome, he is a super friendly guy who has been around for a while so he can answer any questions you may have about the island. Hopefully it doesn't change too much over the next couple years cause we will definitely consider coming back.
September 2009 - One Bedroom Oceanfront New Jersey, NY
Our first night in Coral Gardens was not the most pleasant because of the construction going on at the Windsong which is next door to CG. You'd think they would conduct all the heavy work during the day when everyone was awake, wrong. We threatened to leave the next morning but Michelle at the front desk was nice enough to upgrade us to a one bedroom unit on the other side of the building. Luckily that's all they had available. The view was not as good but the room was about twice the size. Besides the first night, everything went smoothly. Just make sure you ask to be on the west end of the building if you plan on staying any time in winter/spring of 2009, after that most of the heavy work should be done they said. Great food at the restaurant, good beach location, best beach you'll find in the Caribbean!
July 2009 - 1 Bedroom Oceanfront Miami, FL
This is our third time traveling to the Turks and Caicos. We go every two or three years. This is our second time to Coral Gardens and we will definitely return. I don't think there is a better deal on the island. We brought our six year old son and it was perfect. He could go snorkeling right off the beach and we could keep an eye on him from shore. The snorkeling is terrific, make sure you bring some frozen peas and you will be surrounded by tropical fish. We usually see turtles as well but there weren't any this time for some reason. The rooms are nice and clean and a good size. You don't even need to spend too much money on food because the units have full kitchens so we just went to the IGA and got our groceries so we could have cereal in the morning and make sandwhiches for lunch. Everyone has always been friendly and I look forward to seeing them again
October 2008 - Gardenview Room Raleigh, NC
We got to Coral Gardens not expecting much ecause it was the cheapest option on the island but it was actually nice and the staff were good. One thing that was disappointing is that there were never any beach chairs!? I later heard they were being replaced. The food wasn't anything special but there was some great dishes with a hint of Mexican that were delicious. The room was small but clean. If I had more money to spend I would definitely go elsewhere closer to town, but here we were right in front of the snorkeling reef which was a plus. Good and bad aside we had a great stay.
