April 2010 - Two bedroom Oceanfront Indiana
My overall view on the hotel is that I would stay there again in a heartbeat. The staff is very friendly and very attentive. This seems to be the way of the Turks people. It is a very laid back community and they are very warm to tourists.
Make sure to go to the conch shack in Blue Hills, a taxi drive away. Food there is so so but the atmosphere is real cool. Restaurants on the island are great. You can't go wrong, we dined most nights, however the fully equipped kitchen in the room has everything you need. Somewhere.... yes Somewhere is the name of the restaurant, great fajitas actually amazing fajitas, a meal there for 4 of us was just over $200 tax and tip included, you will not find many more dinners costing that little and the sunset and live band makes it a great ending to the day.
The beach area is a little narrow but who cares the water makes up for it. We spent time between the great pool and the beach most days, we were there to relax and managed to do this, away from our busy schedules. Thank you Turks and Caicos you made our vacation just what we ordered.
March 2010 - One Bedroom Oceanfront Miami, Fl
We thought we lived in Paradise, but not after taking the short flight over to Turks and Caicos, this is truly Paradise. A long weekend stay at the Regent Grand was fantastic. We used the kitchen a couple of times to make a quick lunch but ate out more. A quick get away and we are so happy we did it. The staff were top class and helped us plan our days. We took the Sunset cruise with Sail Provo and that was a superb choice a spectacular sight. and we met people from around the world. Great 3 night get away for us we will be back.
March 2010 - One Bedroom Oceanfront Washington, DC
What more can I say, the beach is spectacular. We walked several miles each day on the beach and enjoyed the beautiful turquoise waters and soft sand. The beach around the Regent Grand is less populated than some of the other resorts, we found it very quiet and calm.
The pool was also a favorite. The chairs and umbrellas around the pool were very inviting and the tile design of the pool is amazing.
You are right in the middle of all the good spots, grocery shopping, restaurants and bars. Try the wine bar, Vino just outside the hotel, it is a very popular place on the weekends and is full of ex-pats who are winding down from a week of keeping us the tourists happy. We had an amazing relaxing time.
October 2009 - 2 Bedroom Oceanfront North Salem, NY
We took a chance on this property as we normally stay at Point Grace, but with 2 nights free and free golf we felt we couldn't loose.
A grand property it certainly is from the entrance, service to the suites. The rooms and balcony are very large so we did spend a good deal of time in our suite especially on the balcony. Our friends fell in love with this place as well. It is in a good location within walking distance to a shopping area with a restaurant and wine bar (very convenient). The grounds were very well kept and the pool very clean. The views are hard to describe as every sunset and sunrise were just breathtaking. We may try their sister property next door, Villa Renaissance as the property and rooms looked very similar but were much lower in price.
May 2009 - 1 Bedroom Oceanfront New York, NY
After returning back from our first trip to Turks and Caicos staying at the Regent Grande we felt we needed to share our experience. It is simply too hard to fault this resort any way. The opulence and elegant decor was very impressive in this newly built resort. We thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful culinary delights (Coco Bistro, Iguana, Anacaona) and the service was outstanding at most places. We were pampered in every possible way. The beach was amazing and we spend countless hours just walking up and down the beach enjoying the pristine beauty of the water and colorful surroundings. Turks and Caicos was the most beautiful island we have been to in the Caribbean and the Regent Grand Resort exceeded our expectations in every way. The Island itself is very small and there are not many cultural sites to see but what we did see was amazing. Our favorite area besides our resort was Chalk Sound where there was this great shallow inlet where we spent countless hours lounging in the water looking up at the blue sky. We also drove up to Northwest Point one morning and have a lovely brunch at a resort called Amanyara. A truly amazing resort much too modern for us but lovely nonetheless. The drive was a bit rough but our rental managed. We would really recommend renting a vehicle for at least a day to see some other parts of the island even though you can spend all your time on Grace Bay Beach. Our agent Mike at My Turks And Caicos helped us pick the perfect accommodation and was spot on with his recommendations. Thank you!
March 2009 - 1 Bedroom Pool Gardenview Atlanta, GA
The Regent Grand. Our suite was gorgeous and the lap of luxury. The highlight by far was the giant deck where we spent hours just admiring the wonderful view of Grace Bay Beach. Even though there was no full restaurant in the resort, we enjoyed the fact that there were excellent restaurants close by and we were able to dine at our leisure! The pool was amazing and we really enjoyed the bar and the many cocktails on offer! All in all this holiday was as perfect as it gets and we cant wait to return to Turks and enjoy this wonderful island again and all the great staff who took such good care of us.
