December 2011 - Two Bedroom Oceanview New Jersey

April 2011 - Two Bedroom Gardenview Hbg, Pennsylvania
Had a wonderful stay. Had some of the best food I have ever had. Sampled lots of local fare. Beaches were great. Rented a car at a real reasonable rate and drove around the island one day, what fun! Wonderful Snuba with Jodi and lovely walks to town to browse in the shops. Will come back again for sure.

December 2010 - One bedroom oceanfront Atlanta
This was our blow out family vacation and we can't speak highly enough of the MyTurksand Caicos agents, and the Sands resort and staff. We wanted a family friendly resort that was still able to offer a high standard and service. Our kids loved the pools and made the most out of the free water sports. We booked the kyak tour over to Little Water Cay and would highly recommend doing that. The guide explained the local habitat to us. It was an early start, but worth it. Hemingway's restaurant was was a pleasure to dine in. We reserved early and secured a beachfront table. We eat quite early with the kids and enjoyed a fabulous sunset. What a wonderful wonderful island and resort.

May 2010 - Three Bedroom Oceanview Portland, Maine
Had a wonderful time! The Condos and service were excellent! The property was beautiful and well maintained. (although the timing of watering the "gray water" on the lawn and gardens could of been timed a little better. The only disappointment was the sticker shock of buying groceries and going out to eat. 5 star prices and 2 and 3 star quality. I will blame a little of that on the weak U.S. dollar. This is only the second time we have rented a condo scenario for convenience. We usually venture beyond because of the size of our parties we all like to do different things, but for just relaxing, reading and fishing, this is the spot! Thanks again. We will not return based on $$$$!

March 2010 - Studio Oceanview Gulf Breeze, Florida
We stayed at 2 different hotels on the island. The Sands cost $100 less, and was a full suite with ocean view. The restaurant was much better, the food and service was better, and it was almost half the price. At the Royal West Indies we paid for an "ocean front", but it was actually an ocean "view." We paid much more than at the Sands and felt the value was MUCH less. I doubt that we will return to the RWI resort in the future for these reasons.

February 2010 - One Bedroom Oceanfront Houston, TX
My husband and I just returned from a wonderful 4 nights stay at the Sands. Our oceanfront deluxe unit on the ground floor was beautiful, spacious and very comfortable. We would have enjoyed the huge screened patio more except for the cool temps and wind during our stay. This was our first trip to T&C after many trips to the Cayman Islands. The beaches are very wide and not at all crowded. Provo is very laid back and we enjoyed our walks to the shops and restaurants. The staff at The Sands was very welcoming and responsive to all our requests. Tommy, who became our wheels around the island was a delight! Wish there was a direct flight from Houston!!

July 2009 - Two Bedroom Oceanview New Jersey
The Sands was absolutely one of the best places I have ever stayed at. The rooms were large and spotless. The grounds and pools were perfect. The employees were always polite and helpful. The beach, oh the beach, just beautiful and without a doubt one of the largest on Grace Bay. If you stay here you will not be disappointed!

June 2009 - Memphis, TN
Took my wife and 2 kids during week of June 22 and stayed at the Sands. We had a great time and The Sands was very nice. I can't imagine what the other resorts offer that makes them much more expensive than The Sands. The grounds were beautiful and the staff friendly. We rented a car and had no trouble driving on the "wrong side of the road". In fact it was kinda fun watching my family squirm as I negotiated the roudabouts. Hemmingways is a nice oceanfront dining experience, but the food is expensive anywhere you go. The snorkeling at Coral Gardens is good and you can walk it in about 20 minutes but the drive is easy to get there. This was a great trip and My Turks and Caicos was helpful with the planning. One thing that was nice is that it doesn't seem crowded at all this time of year, and it is no problem getting a beach umbrella. The condo was clean and very nice.

April 2009 - 1 Bedroom Oceanfront Orlando, FL
Overall the Sands at Grace Bay was a great place for a short relaxing vacation. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were greeted with a nice refreshing cup of rum punch. The beach at the resort was beautiful...perfectly blue seas with white powdery sand. There were two main pools (one really for children recreation and the other smaller adult pool). We had several meals at Hemingways which was the onsight restaurant, relatively affordable compared to some of the other restaurants that we went to and was delicious. On Tuesday nights they have a manager's cocktail hour which is great for a few drinks. There were complimentary cocktails as well as appetizers including local conch fritters. We stayed in a one bedroom suite, very comfortable and clean and included a full kitchen that we used daily for breakfast. The hotel offers shuttle service to the local supermarket (IGA) for a few dollars that was very convenient. Overall we were very happy with our stay at the Sands and we would not hesitate to recommend it to anybody.

April 2009 - Studio Oceanfront Vancouver, Canada
Thank you for your warm reception and on-going professional service. We were finsing it a bit difficult to pre-book our activities direct with tour operators on island prior to arrival mainly because of the time difference, but Nenna from myturksandcaicos was able to help and so we were able to organize every detail of our trip, prior to arriving. The Sands was great. Lots of ants around, but didn't bother us. Thanks!

March 2009 - 1 Bedroom Oceanview SanDiego, CA
A perfect resort in every way. Our one bedroom, one and a half bath ocean view unit was gorgeous. We were three in total (parents and 11 year old child) and the suite had ample space and was very elegant. The beach is very well maintained with lots of beach lounges and palapas. I would suggest an oceanfront room if it's in your budget. We met another family with children and had a look at their oceanfront suite, deluxe. It was much larger than ours with a wrap around balcony. There are many resorts on Grace Bay but we selected The Sands as it represented excellent value for the money. It was one of our best beach vacations and our agent was really helpful in guiding us to this resort. A special thanks to the staff who took care of all the water activities.

February 2009 - 3 Bedroom Oceanfront Suite Tacoma, WA
Stayed at the Sands for a friends vacation. There were 5 of us and we had plenty of space. The 3 bedroom ocean front condo was great. The rooms are large and the deck was perfect for lounging and hanging out together. We felt very safe at this resort, they had security on the grounds and it was easy to walk to a few restaurants via the beach. There is a restaurant on the grounds which was very great and we spent most of our afternoons there with umbrella drinks! There were no problems getting beach chairs and umbrellas even though the resort was busy. The most beautiful sand and blue water I have ever seen. We had lunch at Smokey's one day which is very local but has the tastiest seafood I have had - a bit greesy by yum! We also had a night out at Anacaona (I think it's spelled) at the infiity bar. Super cocktails for a price. But it seemed like the most happening place on the island. Not much of a nightlife, but was just the scene for us. My friend though she saw Rod Stewart (which I hear he owns a property here). Definitely a glam island compared with other Caribbean islands we've been too. We also heard from some people we met at the airport that Nikki Beach has a great nightlife which would have been great to know! So we'll leave it for next time. The bookers were also really helpful, our agent, Nana knew alot about the island.

December 2007 - One Bedroom Gardenview Westport, Conneticut
The accommodation was pretty much as we had hoped. The fitness center was disappointing (small and very old equipment) and the tennis court was in desperate need of re-surfacing (the ball bounced very erratically and often kicked so high that you could hardly reach it). It would have been nice to have had a games room (eg with a pool table) for our kids to use and the hospitality room could easily have been used for this - it didn't seem to be used for hospitality whilst we were there. The front desk and housekeeping staff were all very welcoming and couldn't have been more friendly but the restaurant staff in general were not as welcoming - there were a couple of friendly restaurant staff but the majority seems rather uninterested in their work. We will possibly return to the Turks and Caicos Islands again and I would book through myturksandcaicos.

August 2007 - Studio Gardenview Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania
Everything was excellent! We will look forward to returning. Thank you very much for your help My Turks And Caicos.

August 2007 - Two Bedroom Oceanview North Carolina
The resort itself was beautiful. It was a nice layout, and the grounds were kept clean. But we did have some problems during our stay. The level of service left a lot to be desired. Upon arrival at the airport there was a taxi that we were told we had to pay for. Our kitchen was covered with ants the first day we were there, to the point that the hotel staff came in and had to completely clean, disinfect, and wipe down again the entire kitchen, including the drawers and cabinets. We were not moved to another room, which seemed to me like the logical, accommodating thing to do. The rooms were cleaned daily, including the bath towels. But fresh towels were not left in the room. We had to call for them at least 5 days out of our stay. There was a TV and DVD player in the main room and in the master bedroom. When we tried to watch a movie that we brought we discovered the DVD player was not hooked up to either one of the TV's. There were no cables from the TV to the DVD player. They were gone. We called about that for 3 days before we were finally told that the resort did not have wires and again there was nothing they could do(or were willing to do) to help us. They did suggest a store where we could go buy wires to hook up the DVD player. Another disappointment, the food at Hemingway's was fair. The lobster pasta was wonderful, but the rest of the menu was mediocre. The staff at Hemingway's was horrible. Not friendly, never smiled, never made you feel welcome, always seemed to be pissed off at the fact that they had to wait on us, as well as the other vacationers. We have visited the island several times before always staying at the Royal West Indies, but this time tried another resort and were very disappointed. Any future trips to the island will be booked there. I have no complaints with the service or staff of My Turks and Caicos. We definitely will be returning to the island again. It is one of our favorite vacation spots.
