January 2011 - One bedroom oceanfront Toronto
After making our reservation we heard through some websites that there were building works taking place at a neighboring resort being built. We were horrified and phone My Turks and Caicos to find out more. The agent put our mind at ease and explained that the large work had been completed and it is only internal work that is taking place. When we arrived I am glad to say the agent (Jason) had been true to his word and we neither heard or saw anything. We very much enjoyed our stay at the Tuscany, the location was great away from the bulk of the resorts, with some great restaurants close by (I forget the names, sorry!). We booked on the wine and cheese sunset tour and found it to be good value and a wonderful trip. It's a shame that it only goes on a Wednesday. Thanks for everything we had a wonderful time.
April 2010 - One Bedroom Oceanfront Iowa
Loved it at the Tuscany. First time on this beautiful Island and we are telling all our friends. Located at the very end of Grace Bay it is ideal for the quiet, romantic trip we were looking forward to for months. We were surprised at how quiet it was Our room was equipped with all necessary appliances and are beautifully decorated. We had a walk-out patio that is screened in and the ocean views were spectacular and we were only steps away from a quiet relaxing pool.
We rented a car for a few of our days, we used GraceBay Car rental is was very reasonable $39 a day. We discovered the local supermarket which had everything you needed to stock the fridge it meant we did not have to eat out every night. Great trip we loved it.
March 2010 - 3 Bedroom Oceanfront N Carolina
Firstly the Turks and Caicos are definitely a 'new' island in the Caribbean. Our family has been going to islands for the past 10 years and this trip was amazing. It also may depend on what you are wanting for your trip and here were our needs: no crowds, nice beach, calm waters, luxury accommodation for a low price, good weather. I know, high orders but TCI delivered!
When we landed the weather was beautiful. It only took 20 minutes to get to The Tuscany which was amazing. The suite looked brand new (not sure if it had even been used), the furnishings were very high end Caribbean (not wicker), the kitchen was fully stocked (pots, pans, utensils, coffee maker, etc). Good size rooms and a nice large balcony that looked right down to the beach.
We had friends that had already arrived and used their car to go to the Grocery store just a few minutes away and stocked the kitchen for the week. There was also a really good restaurant next door at the Ocean Club Resort where we ate a few times but mostly stayed in. We did go our for one great meal our last night to Coyaba which had amazing food.
We went on a kayak tour (which our agent recommend) and it was great! The kids loved it and so did the adults. We paired up in double kayaks and went through the mangroves around Leeward Marina. The wildlife is quite abundant here and hidden well, but we spotted some turtles, many different kinds of fish and our guide pulled out a living conch from the water which turned out to look like a big snail.
The weather held up our entire trip, the crowds were non-existent (we were on the end of Grace Bay Beach), the water is the nicest we've seen in the Caribbean, crystal clear and calm, and the rate we paid for the wonderful resort was very reasonable as we saw some other exuberant rates at other properties. We stayed away from the Turks for so long because we were worried about the high prices but were pleasantly surprised, especially after speaking to one of the agents at this website. She new all the properties, the deals and gave us great recommendations. Go visit TCI. We loved it!!!
May 2009 - 1 Bedroom Oceanfront New Orleans
We found this place through our agent who said the rooms are normally 3 bedroom suites but during the low season they can sell just a 1 Bed which we got. We wanted quiet, secluded, and luxury which we found here. This place is a small piece of paradise.
January 2009 - Three Bedroom Oceanfront Knoxville, Tennessee
What a wonderful and relaxing girls trip! Very quiet but most beautiful stretch of Grace Bay Beach! Breathtaking views of the Caribbean from our screened in porch...privacy and luxury. We also rode bikes offered by the Tuscany, dined at awesome restaurants, played tennis on courts at the Tuscany, and highly recommend using Vergil, our taxi driver. The staff were very accommodating and helped us with whatever we needed. Overall, undoubtedly one of the most memorable trips!
December 2008 - 3 Bedroom Oceanfront New York, NY
The Tuscany - beachfront paradise, modern, quiet, fully equiped with all your home comforts, helpful staff.
October 2008 - 1 Bedroom Oceanfront Chicago, Il
It was a great retreat to unwind from my business life in the city. The one and only downfall was it is far from everything (except the golf course and we don't golf!), so although we were looking for a quiet location it was truly a really quiet location.
I would recommend The Tuscany for families as the amenities are really great and for people who do not want to be around lots of other people.
