Big Blue Unlimited Logo Big Blue is the Turks and Caicos Islands' only diving and eco-adventure company. Established in 1997, our mission is to provide guests with unique and informative adventures that explore the islands with minimal impact to the environment and maximum benefit to the local community. All trips are conducted in small groups or as private customized adventures.

The Best Time to Go

The tides and weather are monitored to help choose ideal times and locations for diving, snorkelling and kayaking. When going on a Big Blue adventure you can place your trust in our many years of experience leading adventure tours in the Turks and Caicos.

Eco-Serious

Big Blue cares about the Turks and Caicos Islands. Special heed is taken to use permanent moorings, avoiding anchors on the coral. Divers, snorkelers, and kayakers are advised about good reef and in-water etiquette. Bikers and hikers follow established trails. All trips are educational and use local guides where possible. Local enterprise is utilized, including restaurants, shops, and taxis. Big Blue also supports the Turks and Caicos National Trust by bringing our guests to the Little Water Cay iguana sanctuary, the Wade's Green historical plantation on North Caicos, and the Crossing Place Trail on Middle Caicos. Big Blue is the recipient of the Turks and Caicos Ecotourism award.

Location

Big Blue Unlimited is based in the Leeward Marina, on the east end of Providenciales, adjacent to the Princess Alexandra Nature Reserve. We also have a location at the Saltmills Plaza in central Grace Bay. Complimentary pick-up is available from the hotels and resorts.

Refreshments

Big Blue provides substantial snacks and refreshments on all our adventures. Lunch is served on full-day trips and on the daily dive boat. In the winter months hot drinks are also served on the dive boat. Alcohol is not provided on Big Blue trips, but guests are welcome to bring their own.

Cold drinks and Haagen-Dazs Ice Cream are available for purchase at the Leeward Marina base. Shirts, hats, environmentally friendly sun creams, and waterproof cameras are also on sale.

What to Bring

Please bring your own towels.
Snorkelling gear and dry-bags are provided free of charge.
All scuba diving equipment is available for hire as needed.
Certified divers must have their 'certification cards' or log books with them on their first day.

PRIVATE CHARTERS

Big Blue Unlimited specializes in customized half day and full day private charters. Big Blue's network of guides and facilities stretches across the Caicos Islands making them the most comprehensive charter outfit. Whether spending the day cruising the Cays between Provo and North Caicos or exploring hidden secrets on West Caicos or French Cay, Big Blue Unlimited comes highly recommended. Dive packages are available on request.

ECO TOURS

Big Blue Unlimited is the Turks and Caicos Islands' only diving and eco adventure company. They have provided award-winning trips since 1997 whether in small groups or as private adventures with a team of very knowledgeable and friendly guides. Half-day Kayak Eco tours, Edge of the Bank snorkel safaris, Heart of the Islands adventures to North and Middle Caicos and many other excursions are just a small part of their available programs.

SCUBA DIVING

Big Blue Unlimited are the only dive and water sports operator able to access all the best dive locations on the North and South sides of these islands from North West Point, Grace Bay and Pine Cay to West Caicos, French Cay and beyond. Providing dive courses from beginners to experts as well as specialty courses, Big Blue Unlimited are the first small group diving outfit and have set the standard in open profiles and extended bottom times relative to the experience levels of their divers. Maximum 8-9 people.

SNORKELING

The best reefs are slightly offshore and are only a short boat ride away, less than 10 minutes from Big Blue Unlimited's base in Leeward. Snorkeling lessons, marine life identification and coral reef ecology are encouraged. Where possible guides will join you in the water.

KITEBOARDING

As an extension to the eco adventures of Big Blue Unlimited, kite boarding and kite surfing brings a more active adventure to those seeking new thrills. Year round trade winds make this an ideal sport to learn while on holiday. Pro instruction, PASA and IKO certified, top of the line equipment make learning safe and easy. Kite Safaris are available for the seasoned riders.

STAND UP PADDLEBOARDING

Stand up paddle boarding is the latest offering from Big Blue Unlimited. A higher vantage point and a total core body workout make this fast growing sport a must try for anyone wanting a different twist on the kayaking experience. Join existing tours or rent a board and take your own time.
