An infinity edge pool (also called negative edge, zero edge, infinity pool, disappearing edge, or vanishing edge pool) is a swimming or reflecting pool that produces the optical illusion of water stretching off into the horizon - vanishing into infinity. The term can also be used to describe perimeter overflow pools, with the recycled waterfall look. Infinity pools often appear to merge with the sky or with a large body of water like the Caribbean, depending on the elevation and angle of perception. It's a stunning effect, and if you make the right choice on your next Turks and Caicos vacation, you too can experience the wonders and bliss of an infinity pool.
The first infinity pool with a vanishing edge design is said to be the Stag Fountain at the Palace of Versailles, built in the early 1600s, and the design concept is said to have originated from the calcium laden deposits that formed the natural infinity edge pools of Pamukkale, Turkey. But while times have slightly changed, the elegant luxury of the most dreamlike pool imaginable lives on at a few spectacular resorts and villas. We've compiled a list of our most alluring infinity pools in Turks and Caicos, sure to energize your imagination and send you into a deep state of relaxation.

#3 Bacaju Villa
For your own private infinity pool, stay at Bacaju Villa on Providenciales. Situated on a 13-acre estate on a hill above the Caribbean, this five-bedroom villa named after the rising sun is an exquisite property. The two pools curve around the sprawling villa, cascading into each other, creating an incredibly peaceful effect. As the water seems to stretch out into the sea, you feel as if you're on your own private island in the sky.
#2 Amanyara Resort
Tranquility and serenity abound at Amanyara Resort, a Caribbean sanctuary of beauty and bliss. It sits zen-like as one of the most relaxing and therapeutic resorts in the Turks and Caicos Islands, specifically designed to channel a positive and flowing energy. The reflecting pools seem to make the land disappear, like you're floating in space, reflections of mind on water. The mirror-like surfaces blend through the resort and stretch along the beach, with perfect nooks and seating areas to appreciate the magnificence of Amanyara Resort.

Regent Palms definitely has one of my favorite pools in TCI. It’s great for kids and adults alike with a swim up bar open pretty much all day. Amanyara is amazing in itself and although I haven’t had the pleasure of lounging in the pool I have had many cocktails poolside watching several amazing sunsets.
I love the pool at the Regent Palms as well. Why do I like it? It is designed very well. It has for starters perfect views of the ocean. It has a swim up bar, and well as booths in the water so you can enjoy drinks or lunch without getting out of the pool. How cool is that? There is a hot tub right in the middle, which is very popular around sunset, and is perfect accompanied with a chilled drink. It has a shallow part at one end which makes it perfect for kids (not that there is usually too many kids) and family’s, and the most amazing thing about the infinity pool at the Palms are the Sun Pods. These large round mattresses are located at the pools edge and there is nothing better then lounging on one of them for the day. Oh and I almost forgot, the pools staff are really great there too, and throughout the day they bring you treats like frozen fruit on a toothpick or cold cloths.
